Most people think I have an autoimmune problem. But CVID is different.

Below is some information about Autoimmune Deficiencies which are on the rise something you may have noticed. Why? Well to me it seems obvious. Too much sugar in our diets, non organic, non whole foods, packaging, over prescribed antibiotics, the list goes on and on and on a on. Still, we are well informed, healthy and fairly wealthy people and still have a difficult time making the right choices consistently for our children and ourselves. Below are a list curated for you of all the autoimmune diseases out there, some of them mild and some of them extreme.

Information on over prescribed antibiotics and how they can weak havoc on the gut.

I found this article interesting on Dr. Amy MD's. There is a ton of information on the web about it. I find it useful to take a whole foods approach and use antibiotics when necessary. For my condition I often need the medicine. However, I wish I hadn't had it so readily available when I was younger. Read about it here

Cleanses

I like a good cleanse, in fact, haven't done one for a while because I think I wasn't ready to give up alcohol for while and also to give up caffeine (I drink tea but too much of it). However, I've basically given up most of it now because of the various meds I'm on. So maybe 2018 will bring a great new cleanse for me. I've had success with The Clean Program which I recommend and may give that a chance again. They give some great support and it's high on probiotics which I know I should probably be working to reset my gut lining.

Some doctors will tell you that it makes no difference, but I just don't see how that's true. Also the doctor that told me that was overweight, so not living a healthy lifestyle in my opinion. I think she just didn't like me.

The first time I did this cleanse it knocked me flat, no sugar, no caffeine, no alcohol, I was in bed for two days. The second time I did better. The third time I don't think I really stayed with it, I can't remember. But I may give it a go if we can afford it. Or maybe wait until February.
